Our Ingredients

The CBD in Four Twentea

To do our heavenly tea blends justice, we only infuse them with the best CBD around. After all, it’s our hero ingredient.

Our broad-spectrum CBD contains all the wonderful naturally occurring compounds from the cannabis plant, but no tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) – the bit that gets you high.

In short, you get all the cannabis plant’s benefits, minus the psychoactive part. All the good stuff, none of the trippy stuff! Many CBD brands only use CBD isolate which doesn’t contain those all-important cannabinoids and flavonoids, unlike Four Twentea broad spectrum CBD.

Top-notch ingredients

Extracted from non-GMO, organic cannabis plants, our CBD containing no heavy metals or pesticides.

High bioavailability

That means you get the good stuff! You’ll find a generous, 10mg of active water-soluble CBD per tea bag. That’s stronger than any other major UK CBD tea brand!

You can trust our CBD teas

Our CBD is independently lab-tested and certified, while Four Twentea is proudly regulated by the British Food Standards Agency. We take this part very seriously as sub-licensees of the European Industrial Hemp Association and have an authorized Novel Food application with the FSA.

Tranquilitea is the tea we made for the end of the day. It's a caffeine-free blend of naturally sweet honeybush, lemon balm, verbena, valerian, passion flower and camomile, with 10 mg of flavourless, water-soluble CBD in every bag. Smooth and gently sweet, with a soft citrus note and a floral finish. It's our best seller by a mile, with over 21,000 cups' worth sold.

Some of these herbs have been part of bedtime brews for centuries, which is exactly why they're in there. Lovely with a drizzle of honey, about an hour before bed. Tranquility, tranquillity, Tranquilitea: however you spell it, this is the one for winding down.

Each plump little pyramid bag is plant-based, made from cornstarch, and sealed in its own recycled envelope to lock the flavour in. When you're done, pop used bags in your food waste bin.

Ingredients: honeybush 40%, lemon balm 20%, verbena 10%, valerian 10%, passion flower 10%, camomile 10%. 2 g per bag, 14 bags per box. Naturally caffeine-free.

CBD: each bag is made to contain 10 mg of broad-spectrum, water-soluble CBD (140 mg per box). In our 2022 independent lab tests, THC was below the lab's limit of quantification. All four of our teas are Validated on the FSA's public list under application RP-438. See our lab reports.

How to brew: water just off the boil, four minutes, one bag per cup.

How much: the FSA advises healthy adults to limit CBD from all food sources to 10 mg a day. That's one bag of our tea. CBD is not recommended for under-18s, anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, or anyone taking medication.
